Dear Christian Brothers and Sisters,
Blessings to you in the precious name of our Savior, Jesus Christ! What a wonderful Master we serve! “Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them” Heb 7:25 (NASB). Our Redeemer is praying – always – for us! And His prayer on our behalf is to His Father and our Father! When we are weak in prayer, when stressful circumstances crowd into our mind with worry and fear, when our faith wavers and our courage flags…He is praying for us! HE IS ALWAYS PRAYING FOR US! Hallelujah!
Three Prayer Requests!
1) For the last three years Jerry has been experiencing slowly increasing symptoms of muscle weakness throughout his body and “drop foot” of his left leg. Locally, the only remedy doctors offered for the problem was significant spine surgery which, thankfully, he did not elect to have done! On the second of this month, Jerry’s son, Chris, took him to Richmond for evaluation at the Virginia Commonwealth University’s ALS Clinic. Their observations, inquiries, and tests confirm without doubt that he has been suffering from the onset of ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease, and is three years into it now. Jerry is asking you to pray with him that Father God would give him the favor to stay productive and on his feet – physically yes, but most importantly, spiritually – until the Father calls him Home.
2) As we wrote last month, Jerry is no longer able to produce and print our nursing home ministry materials as he has been doing for the past 20+ years. Likewise, he needs to stop doing the packaging and shipping out of our home. Therefore (again, as we wrote last month), we must shift our production to a commercial printer who will do the printing and shipping for us. This will incur a greater financial responsibility. Therefore, to keep our materials free and available for use by the elderly and infirm all over our great country we are praying for $3,333.33 in monthly donation receipts. Last month our donations totaled $1,618.33, an increase of $469.58 over our monthly average for January through April – Praise God! We invite you to join us in prayer to our Heavenly Father to increase our regular monthly financial contributions to $3,333.33.
3) We are asking the Master to send us a gentleman volunteer to help Jerry. He must know, love and serve our Lord. He must have his own transportation. He must be energetic, faithful and skilled in office work and computer operations. And he must be compatible with and sensitive to Jerry’s limitations. As things are now, we could use such help for half a day, one or two days a week. We would be thankful for you to join us in prayer for the Lord to send us such a volunteer.
