Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Glory be to our Father God who gave us the birds singing, the daffodils blooming, the trees budding and the earth warming in the Spring sunshine! And a great big, “Hello there!” to you, our fellow Christ followers. We trust this note finds you joyful in your soul as you walk with Jesus, and healthy in your frame as you journey toward that day when He gives His children a glorified body. What a day that will be! We are feeling our age and we guess many of you are too. We may rejoice in this time of year – hay fever aside – but how much more of a blessing to know that one day, maybe soon, we will be with our Savior. And we will worship Him in awe among the great throng of Christians who have gone on before us! It seems right now that I can hear my hard working, home-making mom singing that old hymn: “How Beautiful Heaven Must Be!” Just imagine!!!
In the mean time, what a privilege to be called to nursing home ministry. Our mission is devoted to sharing the Good News of Christ’s gift and strengthening the faith of those who know Him. What an honor to be involved in encouraging His little ones in their Christian walk as they face the struggles of their later years. How we revel in the memories of the multitudes of elderly saints whom we have been honored to witness blossoming in their last days in their love and their trust in Jesus Christ. We still marvel at how the Lord pours Himself out to these who are often marginalized and forsaken by the world outside their facility.
Every day hundreds, and probably thousands of elderly and infirm residents in care facilities all over our nation are using the Christ-centered care center ministry materials that we provide at no cost to them. Praise God! No doubt that if folks saw our humble operation that benefits so many they would be very surprised. Many call in disbelief that we actually provide these great resources free of charge without any catch. But we do so because we feel the Lord is guiding us and helping us keep the operation humble, efficient and at a pace that we can wear comfortably. Can’t say enough good about our Boss!
