These hymn-based devotionals are made especially for ministry to the Christian population in any long-term care setting. They are listed below and are downloadable for free in .PDF format and as videos. They are for you to use however you see fit in ministry to your care center residents. You may adjust them in your presentation to meet your specific needs and to accommodate the circumstances of your audience. If you copy them to give to someone else for use in long-term care ministry, please leave them unaltered in their original form. All of these Christian devotionals are based on the hymns with the same names. They are taken in sequence from our large print hymn booklet, “Hymns of Our Redeemer.”
Because each care facility audience is in some regards unique, we encourage you to use wisdom in their application in your setting. Please approach their use prayerfully.
In our DVD series titled “Praise to Our Redeemer,” we used the same hymns as are included in our booklet mentioned above. In that three-DVD set, we included scriptures that we felt related to some message in each song. Our reflections in this devotional series are based on those scriptures.
You will notice that these devotionals often address the unique circumstances of residents in long-term care. At the same time we have made an effort not to hedge on the responsibilities of God’s children for Christian maturity and ministry. As has been already stated – use them at your own discretion and with prayer.
