A Summary of the Good News of Jesus Christ
This summary of the Good News is included in every copy of one of our hymn booklets that we call “Favorite Hymns of Grace” which we produce and distribute to long-term care facilities all over the U. S. and beyond.
Jesus Christ was sent from God the Father to deliver us from the bondage of sin and to restore us to fellowship with our God. Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father. He is fully God and fully man. He is present in the world today in the person of the Holy Spirit. He lived on Earth to show us who God is, and how much His Father loves us. By God’s grace He paid the price of death that we deserve for our sinful nature.
Folks like us walked and talked with Him and touched Him. Some hated Him for who He was, but Jesus lived a perfect life in the sight of His Heavenly Father.
At the time appointed, all forsook Him. His religious enemies arrested Him. They blindly convicted Him of lies and turned Him over to Roman soldiers to be tortured to death, nailed to a cross.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, the Father brought Jesus back to life on the 3rd day, as He promised. He was seen by hundreds before He ascended up to Heaven.
By God’s grace, all can receive Jesus in their heart through the power of the Holy Spirit. We must humble ourselves before Him, admit our sinfulness, repent of our sins, and believe on Him with everything in us.
As His obedient children following Him in His Written Word, taught and assured by the Holy Spirit within us, we can live changed lives and confidently embrace His promise of eternal life. He died for us – let us live for Him!
Another Summary of the Good News of Jesus Christ
This summary of the Good News is included in every copy of another of our hymn booklets called “Hymns of Our Redeemer” which we produce and distribute to long-term care facilities all over the U. S. and beyond.
God loves you…no matter who you are or what you have done. This is the most important thing for all of us to remember. God the Father has demonstrated His love for us by sending Jesus, His only begotten Son, to show us His love.
Surely, we all know that we are imperfect and unfit for heaven on our own. All of us need someone to do something for us that we cannot do for ourselves. This is what Jesus Christ did when He was here. He took our sins and our guilt upon Himself and suffered the cruelty of the Cross in our place. You can see, then, why it is so important to God the Father for us to put our faith in what His Son did for us.
Jesus, who is fully God and fully man, is the only Man who was ever pure enough and perfect enough to point a finger at our hopelessness and condemn us, but instead, He gave His life as a sacrifice for our sins. He redeemed us from the just sentence of eternal punishment, if only we will believe. Father God raised Jesus from the grave by the power of His Holy Spirit, proving His acceptance of Christ’s payment for our sins! The price for our guilt is paid in full and faith in Jesus is the only road to experience our redemption before the Father. Faith in Christ is also the only path to victory over the sins that enslave us.
God the Father is calling each of us to put our faith in Jesus as our Savior and our Master. The Father always stands with open arms waiting for us to honestly confess our sinfulness and repent of our sins to Him and take by faith the salvation of Jesus Christ into our lives. To seal His gift of eternal life, the Holy Spirit, who raised Christ from the grave, will come into our hearts to live with us and guide us and strengthen us in this new life with Him.
You see? Father God has made a way. He ever loves you! May we love Him too!
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
