Precious Saints Of God,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:1-4, 14
The WORD was made flesh! Simple but profound!
Eternal Divinity, who exists outside of all time entered into the marching cadence of days and nights, of years and decades and centuries and ages.
The measureless Majesty of Heaven, to Whom nothing was distant or remote, took on the measured space, of near and far, of high and low, of big and small.
The uncontained, unrestricted all-knowing, all-powerful, every-where-present, only-begotten ONE was birthed into the walls of things and places and physicality and matter.
The Person of the Son of God Himself was made flesh and blood – human – fully man and fully God! Touchable, visible but supernatural and mysterious to us! Surely, we must accept this plain pronouncement of Truth. Equally sure, God the Father desires that His children, made in His image and likeness, consider the immeasurable gift that He gave us when He gave us His Son in the time and space and matter of the womb of a little peasant girl!
Here we see what humility is! Here we see what meek and lowly is! Here we see what life is! Here we see what light is! Here we see what love is!
The Word, God the Son, completed the ministry on earth that He was commissioned and ordained by Father God to perform. He mercifully redeemed us at a price that we cannot pay for ourselves. And when He returned to God the Father He did what only the Creator God could do – He sent God the Holy Spirit to enter the hearts of those who accept the offer of the ETERNAL LIFE that He came to purchase for us! As in the womb of Mary so in the hearts of all who BELIEVE, by His unmerited favor, He enters in! The Majesty of Heaven, the measureless One takes up residence within us!
“How silently, how silently the wondrous gift is given! So God imparts to human hearts the blessings of His heaven. No ear may hear His coming, but In this world of sin, where meek souls will receive Him still, the dear Christ enters in!!!” (from “O Little Town of Bethlehem” by Phillips Brooks)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
During this Christmas season, in the ministry God has given each of us, in fellowship with other Christians, in family gatherings, if we cross with friends and neighbors, or the Lord brings a stranger across our path…we pray that the miracle of Christmas will not be lost in our conversation and that our witness to the WORD will be effective for the cause of the dear Christ-child!
Love in Him,
